SmartLipo™ and SmartLipo Plus™

SmartLipo™ is a revolutionary body contouring technique, which utilizes laser light to melt away unwanted fat. Laser energy is delivered to the fat cells via a 1 mm (4/100 of an inch!) optical fiber. When the laser beam hits the fat cells, its energy is converted to heat. The result is mortally wounded fat cells and melted fat. The fat and dead fat cells can then be absorbed by the body’s “clean up crew”, cells which are specialized for this function. SmartLipo™ is far less invasive than traditional liposuction, and many people, who never before would consider liposuction, are now getting benefit from this new, minimally invasive body contouring technique.

If the amount of fat to be removed is significant, we have found that it can overwhelm the body’s ability to absorb it all, and the desired result is not achieved. Therefore, Rejuvenate! With SmartLipo Plus™ we use small liposuction cannulas to remove the melted fat after the laser has worked its magic. In this way we can assure the same dramatic results as traditional liposuction, with less tissue trauma, less post-operative pain and fewer complications. SmartLipo Plus™ has become our standard technique for all but the smallest areas of unwanted fat. Local anesthesia is used for both SmartLipo™ and SmartLipo Plus™ and that greatly adds to the safety of the procedures, and significantly cuts costs, which are naturally transferred to the patient.
