Neck Lift
When an individual has what is often referred to as a “turkey neck”, a neck lift is the procedure of choice to help correct the problem. It is similar to the lower part of a full Face Lift. Sometimes an additional incision is made just behind the chin to allow for additional tightening of sagging muscles. SmartLipo liposuction can also be part of the procedure, depending on the needs of the patient.
Recovery from the procedure involves rest and head elevation for a day or two, followed by avoidance of vigorous activity for a few weeks. Most patients initially wear an elastic support garment to help minimize swelling and encourage proper healing. The incisions heal and then fade with time.
