Spider Veins

Vein Disease comes in many shapes, sizes and varieties. The most common types we treat in the office are:
- Spider veins or spider telangiectases are the nasty little vein networks very close to the surface of the skin that resemble lines on a roadmap or starbursts. They are typically less than 2mm in size and they are common around the ankles, thighs, and behind the knees. They are a major cosmetic problem and the reason many patients seek treatment.
- Varicose Veins are the large, bulgy veins that run up and down the thighs and lower legs. They occur because of disease of the valves in the large vein known as the greater saphenous vein or from smaller perforating veins.
- Reticular veins are the dark, bluish veins that run just under the surface of the skin and which frequently form a network or criss-cross pattern. Reticular veins are fragile and bruise easily. Reticular veins are usually the “feeder veins” of the dreaded spider veins.
Your Options in Central New York: the difference in successfuly treating Vein Disease
The experienced medical staff at Rejuvenate! uses TotalVein Tx™, an innovative treatment protocol developed by Dr. Frederic S. Joyce and the medical team at Rejuvenate!
TotalVein Tx™ is only offered at Rejuvenate! offices in the USA. It treats all the variations of venous disease, both the medical and cosmetic components of this very common problem. Many doctors treat varicose veins because it is paid for by medical insurance, but very few treat the 20% of patients that are left with an unsatisfactory result due to residual varicose, reticular and spider veins. TotalVein Tx™ is called "total" for a reason. At Rejuvenate! we have mastered all of the available technology and methods to completely treat the medical and cosmetic effects of venous disease, and we don't stop until a satisfactory result is achieved, if it is at all possible. Reticular and spider veins are treated with sclerotherapy and the most advanced lasers available.
